Our partnership has brought events such as Teen Open Mic, Old Time Fiddle Session and Community Gathering, Contra Dancing, and Silent Movies free of charge to our community with support from Mass Cultural Council and NB LCC.
We look forward to having the Network's NB office across the street from us on 8th Street in 2025.
UUNB is home to the Annual Frederick Douglas Read-a-Thon in collaboration with the New Bedford Historical Society.

Providing education and resources for the fight for Palestinian liberation.
Unitarian Universalist Society of Fairhaven
Our Social Justice teams work together on projects such as LGBTQ+ events and environmental issues.
We provide meaningful volunteer opportunities to the individuals LifeStream serves. LifeStream, Inc. is a 501(c)3 which offers a continuum of care for individuals with disabilities, including community residences, services for those living on their own or with their families, day support, and supported employment.
We have worked with LWV SouthCoast on voter registration events and providing voters with the tools to make informed decisions.
WMC is a nonprofit dedicated to providing free clothing to anyone who needs it. In collaboration with WMC in 2024, we served over 100 women during the Women's Shopping Event held at UUNB.
Martha Briggs Educational Club
UUNB is home to the Annual Lenten Tea held by the Martha Briggs Club which raises money for scholarships for high school seniors.
Little Free Library
In 2024, UUNB was awarded a High-Impact Grant from Little Free Library, a nonprofit dedicated to being a catalyst for community building, inspiring readers, and expanding book access. The Impact Library Program gets books into the hands of individuals in areas where books are scarce. Our LFL is one of the first in the downtown New Bedford area. Our library's charter number is #190077
AHA! New Bedford
UUNB has supported AHA! New Bedford since it's inception 25 years ago by providing space free of charge for their programming.
