The Compass, November 20, 2024

Monetary donations for Holiday Flowers are now being accepted! If you would like to contribute money to purchase poinsettias for the sanctuary, please mail in a check or drop one in the offertory during Sunday service. Be sure to write "flowers" in the memo line. Order forms will be in the Order of Service starting this Sunday.

The Music Committee is looking for members to help plan the music for Sunday services and to help organize the Jazz concert in June/July. We need someone to chair the committee and members to support it. If this sounds like something you would like to do, please send an email to: admin@uunewbedford.org.

Today, November 20, is Trans Day of Remembrance

Today, on Transgender Day of Remembrance, we honor the lives, contributions, and humanity of transgender people lost to violence.

Anti-trans violence is an attack on human dignity and equity. Today, we hold space for the resilience, strength, and beauty of transgender communities, recognizing their right to live freely and authentically.

Trans lives matter. Trans voices matter. Trans futures matter.

We remember. We grieve. We refuse to accept violence as inevitable.
